Home Care Management Software Company, CareLineLive, Announces Star Carer Of The Year
Care management software firm, CareLineLive, have announced the UK's outstanding care professionals for 2023
CareLineLive, the specialist comprehensive care management software solution for home care agencies, has announced the recipient of its Star Carer Of The Year award, achieved by a carer nominated for the accolade by home care businesses, residential care homes, community care facilities and other service providers in the care sector.
The award was created by CareLineLive's Managing Director, Josh Hough and Marketing Manager Marie Page, to recognise and celebrate dedication, in an extension to the monthly Star Carer Of The Month Award, which the organisation runs throughout the year.
Recognising Exceptional Care Professionals
The judges noted that the diverse array of nominations were humbling, reading stories of selflessness, commitment and care support that has gone above and beyond to improve the quality of life of people throughout the UK.
Jaspinder Singh, nominated by Primary Home Care in Barham, Suffolk, won the accolade. His nominee, Julie Mills, HR and Operations Manager of the company, put Jaspinder forward to recognise his supportive nature and the impact his advice has made on other carers, particularly when many home care providers are finding staff recruitment and retention a critical challenge.
Julie says, ‘Jaspinder is a great role model for our overseas staff, supporting them to settle in well and sharing his own personal experiences. He is flexible and friendly and always steps in wherever needed, even traveling outside his normal area without complaint.
As an outstanding carer, Jaspinder is popular with our clients and is known for never being without a smile and his warm, friendly disposition. Our decision to put Jaspinder forward for this award was unanimous, where every staff member and client wishes to recognise all he does.’
CareLineLive awarded Jaspinder a Love to Shop voucher and presented Primary Home Care with a credit towards their services, alongside the Star Carer Of The Year title.
Runners Up for Star Carer Of The Year
In a bid to recognise as many outstanding carers as possible, CareLineLive offered additional prizes to the second and third-place award recipients.
- Shupikai (Chris) Chikwavira won 2nd place, nominated by Together in Care Forensic in Batley, West Yorkshire. His commitment to providing better living conditions for service users and his work with social workers and families impressed the judges along with the training and support he provides for new recruits from overseas. Victoria Ashfield, Lead Administrator, said that Shupikai receives positive feedback from everybody he works with and is a champion for home environments and raising concerns.
- Georgina Green was awarded 3rd place, nominated by her employer, Choice Support in Nottingham. Operations Lead Sonia Kuznair said that Georgina provides superb support, helping clients enjoy once-in-a-lifetime experiences, from helping host charity fundraising events to taking clients to their first-ever concerts. Sonia noted that her energy and commitment make a real impact on people's lives.
Celebrating Outstanding Commitments to Home Care
Josh Hough, MD of CareLineLive says, ‘We have run our monthly Star Carer awards scheme for some time and felt that extending this to an annual award would be a great way to demonstrate the incredible value carers bring to their communities.
As an expert in all things home care technology, we speak with many domiciliary care providers who share the need to create more streamlined, efficient and cost-effective processes – but behind all of this are the carers themselves, visiting people in their homes, supporting elderly and vulnerable service users, and completing their work with respect, sensitivity and compassion.
Choosing the Star Carer Of The Year winners was hugely difficult, and we were overwhelmed by the number of nominations we received and the touching reasons provided for picking individual carers who deserve all the recognition available.
We know that a committed carer is a force for good and were delighted to be able to offer these prizes to celebrate these special individuals. Congratulations to Jaspinder, Shupikai and Georgina, and all the nominees, each of whom undoubtedly presents the best in home care standards.’
